1. Make sure a divorce is really what you want
To start with, make sure the divorce is really the best choice in this situation. If your spouse is causing problems because they want to try to stay together and feel you aren’t listening, think about it. Is there anything that could be done to salvage your marriage? If not, then it’s time to be firm and move forward with your divorce.
2. Stop fighting and start being respectful
